I live in Maine. We’re having a wicked good storm today. I thought you might be interested in seeing my “other home” (not to be confused with the “one I live in“), so I break from tradition and share a few images:
I think I’m going to get a lot of reading done today.
Great photos…and that’s a proper snow storm. Love the shot of your dog 🙂 Really nice post
Proper good storm, indeed. Glad you liked. Thanks.
I love snow…especially when it’s good and deep…..of course it’s best if I don’t have to be anywhere 🙂
Excellent photos. Thanks for sharing. That’s a LOT of snow!
Thanks, Pete. Yep, a lot of snow. Twenty-nine inches in 24 hours. And calling for an inch an hour through the afternoon. Makes for a mighty cozy day.
WOW
Makes the five or six inches we had last weekend seem like a light dusting!
Yep, serious snow, Maine style!
Great photos…especially your doggie! I’m impressed you braved the elements! Hope you’re enjoying your book.
Thanks, Sherry. Yep, a terrific afternoon, fire going, snow falling, book finished. And a nice tall Manhattan now at my elbow. Life is indeed good today.
Your Dog looks like crazy fun!!! Mine, would run the other direction if it saw that much snow.
I don’t know where she got her spirit, but she’s always had it. Last week she treed a raccoon about twice her size, and a month before that she cornered a porcupine, got barbs in her nose and didn’t flinch when I yanked them out. Last summer, up in the north woods, we happened across a moose. I had to hold her, a low growl coming from her belly. I suspect she would have gone fearless on me if I’d let her. She’s a keeper. Thanks for checking into “the house.”
Doug,
We left for North Carolina on Thursday…stopping in MD en route. Our timing was perfect. Your photos from your morning walk are great. Dogs sure know how to do joy, eh?
Craig
You missed all the fun! And yes, dogs are great teachers. Safe travels.
